How to get to the House of Librarians

The headquarters of The Danish Union of Librarians is The House of Librarians. The building is situated in Frederiksberg at Lindevangs Allé 2. Frederiksberg constitutes an independent municipality, but is geographically located within the border of the municipality of Copenhagen. Frederiksberg is actually a part of Copenhagen, which is found south-southwest of the city center.

The fare system for public transport in Greater Copenhagen covers both buses, metro and trains. Apart from the capital itself, the area embraces all of North Sealand (including Elsinore, Roskilde and Køge) The fare system is based on zones. One ticket covers all travel for up to 2 hours in the number of zones that you specify, so transfer tickets are not necessary.

From central Copenhagen to Lindevangs Allé
The distance from the city center - City Hall Square ( Rådhuspladsen) - or the Central Railway Station ( Hovedbanegården) to Lindevangs Allé is approximately 3 kilometres.

By Bus
Bus No 15 (direction Ålholm Plads) from Kongens Nytorv or the Central Railway Station ( Hovedbanegården) stop at Peter Bangs Vej by Lindevangs Allé. The ride takes about 15 min. from Hovedbanegården and around 23 min. from Kongens Nytorv. More information can be found in The Trafikinfo of HUR. The buses depart in the daytime on working days with intervals of 7-8 minutes. The trip costs Dkr. 17,-.

By The Copenhagen Metro
Metro Line M2 from Kongens Nytorv (direction Vanløse), stop at Solbjerg Station. Then walk aprox. 8 min.

From the Central Railway Station ( Hovedbanegården), take the S-train to Nørreport Station, then Metro Line M2 (direction Vanløse), stop at Solbjerg Station. Then walk aprox. 8 min.

By subway (S-train)
In Copenhagen an electrified metropolitan S-train railway network connects the city center with the suburban areas. Intervals: 10-20 minutes. The S-train station nearest to The House of the Librarians are Peter Bangs Vej Station on the lines C and H+.

From Peter Bangs Vej Station there is 7-8 min. walk to The House of Librarians. Walk aprox. 500 meters down Peter Bangs Vej in the direction of Frederiksberg and Copenhagen City. The House of the Librarians is on your left hand - at the corner of Peter Bangs Vej and Lindevangs Allé - and is visible from Peter Bangsvej.

The trip from one of the stations in City to Peter Bangs Vej Station costs Dkr. 17,-.

Taxi
From central Copenhagen to Lindevangs Allé. The ride takes about 15 min. and the fare is around Dkr. 75,-.

From Copenhagen Airport to Lindevangs Allé
Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) is located 12 km southeast of the city center. The distance from Copenhagen Airport to The House of Librarians is 12 to 15 kilometres, depending on the route chosen. In general there are 2 possibilities: through the City or by crossing the bridge called Sjællandsbroen and the southern part of Copenhagen called Sydhavnen. All the relevant buses go through the centre.

By train
From Copenhagen Airport Kastrup there's a frequent train service from Terminal 3 (International Terminal) to the Central Railway Station (Hovedbanegården).

From the Central Railway Station, take a bus or a taxi to the Danish Union of Librarians on Frederiksberg.

By Bus
From Copenhagen Airport there are also several city-buses (HT) to the centre of Copenhagen.

No 250S is a expresbus that goes from the International Terminal to the Central Railway Station (Hovedbanegården) and the City Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen). The trip takes about 25 min. Departure every 5 min. in the rushhours and every 10 min. at other times of the day. There is a reduced number of departures during the evening and early morning hours.

No 2A from the International Terminal to to the Central Railway Station (Hovedbanegården) and the City Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen).

The fare for an ordinary city-bus from Copenhagen Airport to City is Dkr. 25,50. The same ticket can be used for the extensive ride to Lindevangs Allè, if the trip is continued within 2 hours after the time stamped on the ticket.
